vertical edges and manifested primarily in the horizontal plane had no distorted models where the vertical and
horizontal turbulence had similar strength such as occurs with flow separation at a sloping edge. The difference was
most noticeable near the bottom, whereas comparisons near the free surface were reasonable. The scale effect
appeared to be localized around the boundary of the jet.
